May Day – In Hawaii, May Day (also known as Lei Day) is celebrated on the first day of May. A wonderful tradition of lei-making is one of the most beautiful festivities practised island-wide today. Representing the true spirit of Aloha, a lei is given to (or received from) a special someone.

July

Pineapple Festival – Each summer, Lana'i celebrates its unique heritage with the Pineapple Festival, a colourful event paying homage to the island’s favourite fruit. This festival brings the community and visitors together to enjoy local food, entertainment, fun and relaxation.

September - October

Aloha Festival – Honoring Hawaii’s heritage and culture for 59 years, Aloha Festivals celebrate with pageantry, parades, street parties, concerts and family activities that span six islands during September and October. This was created as a public festival to honor the cosmopolitan heritage of Hawaii through music, dance and history.

December

This special occasion brings everyone together to enjoy the lighting of an 80-foot (24-metre) Cook Island pine Christmas tree, picture taking with Santa, craft fairs, local foods and live entertainment.
