Enchanting Floral Gardens - Kula - More than eleven years in the making, this eight-acre garden is filled with all manner of blooms. With both the mountains and the sea as a backdrop, the paths wind through gorgeous displays of tropical plants, including white pineapple and blue jade. There are no guided tours, but visitors are welcome to wander through the grounds, admiring the more than 1500 species of plants.


Haleakala Crater Super Sunrise Bike Tour - Visit the world's largest dormant volcano, Haleakala Crater, at sunrise.  Pick up 2am, 8-9 hr tour. Tour the crater, bike downhill and enjoy bi-coastal panoramas of Maui. Tour concludes with a Safari Van tour from Pukalani to the sea with history of Maui's sugar cane and pineapple plantation days. Includes transportation, bikes, gear and lunch. Dress in layers. Closed toe shoes required. Must be at least 12, weight under 230 with biking skills. Heavenly Hana Adventure Tour - Wind your way to Hana along one of the world's most beautiful coastlines. This narrow winding road passes countless cascading waterfalls & a lush bamboo forest. Road to Hana - This legendary drive is one of the best ways to see Maui, but it's not a ride in the park. Although the distance is only 52 miles, the circuitous route and less-than-optimal road conditions will take at least three hours to navigate. However, if you're attentive and dedicated, you'll be rewarded by some of the most remarkable vistas and gorgeous sights imaginable. Waterfalls, gardens, and lush vegetation will punctuate your journey, which is all about the ride rather than the destination. Don't be in a hurry when you go, and be willing to share the road. If you take a picnic lunch, a camera, and a sense of adventure, you can't go wrong.

            

Helicopter Tours - See the beauty of Maui from the skies above. Over 90% of Hawaii is accessible only by helicopter. It's dense jungles, towering waterfalls, and incredible pools and unmatched anywhere else on earth. See the deep valleys and craggy ridges of the ancient mountains that have been carved out over centuries by wind and rain. Flights limited to six.  Flights durations: 30 mins, 45 mins 1 hour & 1.5 hr   Price: $195-$485 pp


Hike Tours - Choose between a 3 hour, Half Day, or Full Day Rainforest Waterfall hike along remote trails;.  Hike tours also explore Haleakala Crater with its rare birds. Hawaiian goose and Silverswrod plant.  Hotel pick up & drop off available with the 3 hour and half day rainforest/waterfall hikes at an additional cost. Price: $175 (Includes transportation)


Historical Valley and City Tour (Iao Valley and Lahaina) - 2 of Maui’s most popular spots, both rich in history. Visit the lush and historical Iao Valley, then the Western side of the island where you will shop in historic Lahaina Town. Mon, Wed & Fri. Hotel pickup - 5 hrs. NO host lunch  Price:  $60 pp


Horse Back riding - A 2 and ½ hour morning ride at Makena Stables. A moderately , challenging ride. Two hours of riding & half hour break for fresh fruit, a variety of snacks & bottled water. Lessons provided if needed. This ride climbs up to Kalua O Lapa, the vent formed by the last eruption on Maui and offers panoramic views of the southern slopes of Haleakala, lava fields, La Perouse Bay and the islands of Hawaii, Kahoolawe, Molokini, Lanai and Molokai.*  Mon-Sat 8:30am to 11:30am. Historical Horseback Ride - This is a ride that some say changed their lives and the way they live.  The ride starts out past Hana near the seven sacred pools and takes you to places in the body and mind that you will never experience any where else on earth.  Ride through the historical landscape of Kipahulu, climb the volcano to explore the valleys and waterfalls. All being led by Hawaiian natives teaching you the culture and stories of their land each step of the way.  Morning refreshments and bottled water are provided. Closed shoes and long pants are required.  Swimwear, towel and change of clothes recommended. Weight limit 250 lbx, double riding not allowed. $158 per person.


Island Theater - Ulalena-a local production is a blend of Hawaiian and modern dance in various scenes depicting Hawaii’s history and legends. Graceful acrobatics, beautiful voices and creative effects make it a must see for the whole family.  Monday through Friday check in Lahaina Theater at 5:45pm, a 1 hour drive.  Prices: $62 pp standard seats… $175 pp, premium seats with dinner


Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens - Wailuku - Hundreds of years ago, this garden was the site of a battle so vicious that the stream was blocked by the bodies of the slain. Nowadays, only the name, which means "damming of the waters," recalls the event. In a gesture of reconciliation, the Heritage Gardens' purpose is to honor all the cultures that contributed to Hawaii's prosperity. Structures representing China, Japan, Portugal, and the United States stand alongside each other, sharing the honor. Picnic facilities and grills make this a great stopover for lunch or for outdoor celebrations.


Luau - Old Lahaina Luau - Authentic Hawaiian Laua with lei greeting, buffet dinner and show featuring Hula, dance and song. Open bar not included. Traditional seating (mats and cushions in front of stage on ground) $100 per person. $69 per child under 13.  Table and chairs seating available as well. Check in 5pm for 5:30pm show. Best luau in Maui.


Maui Ocean Center - This innovative aquarium, the largest in the state, provides visitors a glimpse of ocean life through a series of indoor and outdoor exhibits.  Focusing on marine creatures indigenous to the islands, the facility offers displays on tide pools, reefs, turtles, sting rays, and whales. There's also a fantastic exhibit about the open ocean where visitors move through a huge tank via an acrylic tunnel, observing marine life as it swims around and above them. A gift shop and restaurant are also on the premises. This great attraction also helps children develop an abiding appreciation and respect for the ocean.


Maui Tropical Plantation -  Tucked among lush mountains, this plantation displays the bounty of Hawaiian agriculture. At more than 100 acres, the fields give rise to pineapple, coffee, sugar cane, macadamia nuts, and all the other tropical fruits you associate with the archipelago. A tram ride provides a great overview of the entire complex and is a leisurely 40-minute ride. The nursery features a host of exotic blooms available for purchase; the market sells edible treats you can't refuse. A gift shop and restaurant round out the offerings.


Pineapple Farm Tours - Visit harvesting pineapple fields and learn the history of the area. Learn first hand about the unique growing cycle of the "King of Fruits". Enjoy a plantation plate lunch on the observation pavilion, high above Kapalua. Wed, Thurs & Friday: 11:45am - 2:45pm.  Depart Kapalua Adventure Center. One hour drive.  Menu available.   Price:  $65 per person


Scuba (Introductory)- Introductory Scuba Lesson offers at the Grand Wailea Resort Scuba Pool at 10am and 1:30pm. Experience a pool lesson right here at the resort through Charlie Dolfun.diving program. Complimentary for guests.  Certified diving  available, starting rates $165 pp, 2 tanks.


Snorkel - Molokini & Turtle Town Morning Snorkel.  Check in 7:30am, 1 hour drive, 8am till 1pm, aboard the "Pride of Maui" 65-foot catamaran. Includes continental breakfast, grilled lunch, dessert, beverages, equipment, boogie boards, flotation devices & optical masks.Scuba, snuba, underwater camera rentals,tee shirts & trip videos available for a fee.  Price:  $95 pp

Warren & Annabelle's - A South Carolina-born magician, and Annabelle, a ghost, have the delightful task of entertaining visitors with sleight-of-hand feats and musical prowess, respectively. While the premise sounds a bit curious, the reality is an immensely enjoyable, highly professional show that has attendees raving. Humor, mystery, and awe have their places in the 3+-hour evening, and delicious food and cocktails are also available  individually or as a package.


WHALES!
Each year much of the Pacific Humpback Whale population migrates to Hawai'i (from Alaska) to spend winters in our warm tropical waters. The majority of the whales that call Hawai'i home each year are found in waters off Maui's shores. While they're often sighted in Hawai'i as early as September, staying around 'til "mid May," the peak viewing period runs January through April.
